Managing partner of SuckerPunch Entertainment Brian Butler released this statement on Facebook and Twitter following the announcement.
“My friend @BigFrogBJJ retired from fighting last night. I don’t think any other fighter has ever fought so many top ranked guys in multiple divisions as Jeff has. He is a true pioneer for MMA and a shining ambassador for BJJ. Jeff is one of the best coaches in the sport period. My friend Jeff is also the reason I did not give up on @suckerpunchent and kept me in this crazy business when I was ready to throw in the towel. I’m excited to see how Jeff takes on the next chapter in his life. Loyalty is so rare in this sport… Thanks for all you have done for MMA and for SP. ‪#‎teamcurranforlife‬”
