On Sunday January 25th The rematch of the year will take place as Jens steps back into the cage with former champ Urijah Faber.
Last year the two had an epic five round war that will go down in history as one of the best fights in the history of the WEC. “I know what I have to do to win” said Pulver. “I have had several personal things happen to me over the last few months with the birth of my son, the death of a dear friend and the car accident with the Cox family.” Pulver makes no excuses though and told us, “I feel good, I’m angry, my mind is straight and thats when im the most dangerous. I am gonna go back to the old Jens and just give this guy and old fashion fight.”
Coming off of a loss in his last fight against Leonard Garcia, Pulver still loses zero respect from fans. “I know my last performance was horrible, I wish i could get it back but if you are in this sport long enough everyone gets caught. I don’t make any excuses though Leonard was great that night and he won fair and square… I tell you what though I have something in this fight that I have not had in a long time… anger.”
I gotta thank my fans, you all have been so supportive and I don’t know what I have done to deserve so much support. My family and soon to be wife Nika for her support, the Cox family for always being there and my sponsors Tapout, Skin Industries, Gamma O, and my boys over at Jeeperz 4WD.
We would like to recognize JEEPERZ 4WD, TapouT, SKIN, and Gamma-O for supporting the stars in the SuckerPunch stable. It’s sponsors like these that truly help evolve this sport.

Pulver vs. Faber 1 was indeed one of the greatest fights in recorded history. If any of you haven’t seen it yet, find it and watch it. Sunday is going to be fun.
Best of luck, Jens. Left hand to the skull.
Paul
kick some butt bro!!!
Can’t wait to see the Evil come out buddy! Let it rip…
How’s the little one?
Wooohoooo!!!!!!!! WAR JENS!
Get em Jens! Your gonna do great! I just re-watched your last bout with him and you looked great there too. Finish him!
Happy hunting and blessings on you brother!
the little one is doing great, how is your new edition. thanks to the rest of you for taking the time to post. feel good but damn if the weight isn’t giving problems this time around. lol I would tell you what it is but I don’t need more people worrying. get at ya later.
…I always get worried and nervous before you fight. It usually starts early in the day…when you had the title fight I was showing signs of Anxiety up to FOUR days before the match hahahaha
:'(
Man, I feel the high of a win and the sadness for a brother at the same time. I know you have some tough choices to make for the furure. I want you to know that I look up to you as a warrior and a friend, I hope you stay strong and come back harder than ever. You have shown class and humbleness in a tough situation. We got your back 100%. If I could be a sliver as good as you are I know I could achomplish so much in this sport.
Blessings on you and your family.
Phillip.
YO Jensy,
keep that head up bro. Plow through these dark clouds of adversity and you will see things clear up for you. Remember, you have been in much tougher positions than you are right now. Your fans will always be your fans and your friends will always be there for you.

Indeed Jeff… You know that Jens fanbase must have quadruppled in the Time that I’ve been a fan? which was only since the start of 2006…before then I never knew what MMA was LOL.
People still love him as is evidenced by nearly 100 posts in less then two days response to the blog on his website AFTER the fight
I hasten to add, I’m still his number one fan…but I’ve had competition on MHForum from a Canadian who says he’s “the Greatest Jens Pulver fan” hahaha, I dont think he is though. The point is, there are MANY Pulverites out there now.
Jens,
You know, it seems like there are a million MMA fighters coming out of the woodwork and guys like you, or anybody in this sport, are simply a dime a dozen. Of course, it only seems that way.
While there are a lot more people into MMA and a lot more fighters now then there were when you made your foray into the sport, most of which could only wish to have a career as great as yours, it pales in comparison to the sheer masses of people who would be terrified to get in a cage, or a ring, and fight another person. It takes a lot more than muscles or training to make a fighter. It takes courage, and it takes heart. And you have shown just that, time and time again for a lot longer than most fighters could dream to last. You are, and always will be a star, Jens. Wow….you caught me in a serious Karate Kid moment. Moving on.
Sure, a loss is disappointing, but you will move forward as always and prepare the next poor bastard that they put in front of you. Whether they win or not…..NOBODY wants to fight Jens Pulver.
Cheers to anyone who just gets in there and fights. you are all Superheroes.
Funny you should say that because Even Urijah looked devistated during/after his post fight interview. He’d just won and you could tell that he was almost bummed about having taken the contest. I think more and more people are going to want to avoid fighting Jens…the major problem is half the fighters I speak to online, LOVE him aswell! With a growing fanbase they risk…losing fans to Jens Pulver especially if they win. I know Faber fans who were NOT supporters of Jens before he moved to WEC, were interested in Jens at F/P1 and now support him AS MUCH AS they support Faber…its so strange. I believe its because he’s so charismatic and so expressive…You cant help but smile when he gets excitable, and you cant help but feel his pain when he kinda breaks…there was another moment in a press conference where it nearly happened…and then there was Dana Whites blog where Pulver is interviewed behind the scenes at WEC…you cant help but feel the energy and empathise
Many fighters would give up there records to have the kind of support that Jens has unconditionally. Its NOT usual. When you start to hear that they will honnestly love and root for him whether he wins or not…you know that people are finally begining to see Jens as a human being, rather then an object of entertainment.
Sorry to keep posting…but I have a lot to say on the issue incase you hadnt noticed. He’s a favourite topic of conversation for me. I even talk about him at work to people who dont know anything about MMA…for example, recently I discovered one of my team boxes at a National level….AND he fights Southpaw. I asked him if he’d ever heard of Jens Pulver…he said no…so I educated him LOL
Jens,
Keep your head up brother, keep driving on, and don’t look back
