I have been very busy since my last fight. It looks like I will not be fighting for the UFC until after the New Year, so in order to stay busy I am doing a special grappling match at Gladiators Cage Fighting here in Milwaukee. On Saturday, December 13th, I’ll be grappling Justin “Bacon” Hutter for the Gladiators Fighting Heavyweight Grappling Championship. This is not MMA (no strikes), but submissions, slams, and other grappling moves are allowed. Bacon is an awesome grappler from Waukesha MMA, with recent wins at the Combat Corner Open and King Grappler (where he was the “King Grappler” winning the super tournament that I had won the previous 2 events, but was unable to enter this year due to fighting at Ultimate Fight Night 15). Bacon has a very brutal, punishing style that makes him the most dangerous and feared submission guy in the state.
If you want to check this out as well as some great MMA and kickboxing, then don’t miss Gladiators Cage Fighting “More Season’s Beatings” on December 13th. The fights are at the Milwaukee Harley-Davidson showroom, which is a great place to watch the action (no bad seats in the house). Tickets are $100, $80, $60, and $30 dollars and are available through me (a cut goes to pay for my next UFC training camp), so let me know if you need any. Shoot me a myspace, facebook, or email message (redschafer@hotmail.com) if you are interested. All tickets bought from me come with a free autographed picture of my handsome mug. I plan on coming out to a special entertaining walk-out to spice the event up also…
Don’t miss out,
Eric RED Schafer
P.S. Don’t forget to get your Team Red shirts in time for Christmas. They make great gifts and clean up spilled eggnog better than shamwow…
Nice! Best of luck, show them what the Sucker Punch boys are all about!
I hope you do really well. You do T-Shirts aswell LOL…just one question…WTF is eggnog??? Explain for the dumb Englishman please..
I thought UFC fighters couldn’t compete in grappling events if signed?
Eggnog, also egg nog, is a sweetened dairy-based beverage made with milk, cream, sugar, beaten eggs (which gives it a frothy texture) and flavoured with ground cinnamon and nutmeg; alcoholic versions also exist with the addition of various liquors, such as brandy, rum, whiskey and sake. Eggnog is usually enjoyed over the winter holidays…
I have always competed in grappling events and will continue to. As long as they are not right before a UFC fight, then they are fine with it. It helps me keep that competitive edge and get used to the nerves of a “fight”.
It’s funny that the Englishman knows what a shamwow is but not eggnog. LOL
Ohhh…I’ve never heard of that before. We do drink mulled wines I suppose at Christmas time, well…I dont personally because I dont consume Alcohol at all.
I shall resist the temptation to ask what a “Shamwow” is 😛
Hey Red,
Feeling better about those Packers yet? How’s life treating you man? I am getting ready to follow what you said Graduate college and then start fighting. I graduate Saturday.
And a Shamwow is some weird chamois type towel that is supposed to suck up all kinds of liquid that is on an infomercial here in the States that has some weird guy with a mike on talking about if you haven’t bought this yet you are a looooooooooooooooser. Well not exactly but close enough
SHAMWOW!
Bacon will destroy you!!! lol jk Good luck. I will be there on Bacon’s corner. And yes your shirt are better than shamwow……
AMazing the second guy looks scared
i want your babies!
Red. Great idea from both you and the Roufus camp to grapple and keep yourself busy before your next big fight. Stay healthy bro. We’re pulling for you in Milwaukee.
Come on Red, all those highlights and not one arm triangle??? I expect one on Bacon!
