On Saturday December 13th, Eric Schafer won the Gladiators Fighting Heavyweight Grappling Championship!
Since this was a straight grappling match with no striking Eric was not in violation of his contract with the UFC. He uses this type of competition to keep his competitive edge in between his UFC fights.
Keep checking SuckerPunchEnt.com for Eric’s up to date fight schedule.

Was a very tough match. Took him down early with a slam (right onto my sprained finger, haha). Kept attempting to pass guard, but as soon as I did, Bacon would turtle up and then recover guard. I was getting anxious, so after Bacon turtled a 3rd time, I went for the arm in guillotine (one of my best moves), but Bacon grabbed my bad fingers to defend. The ref scored it as a sweep when I went to guard for the choke, so it was now 2-2. As time was running down, I pulled a omoplata, but was unable to finish the sub as time ran out. The decision went to me based on more offense and subs attempts. Bacon was tough, props to him…
Keepin it real for the redheads.
Nice!
Congrats Ginja Ninja!
