LOL@Kenny Florian in a Suit!
I aggree with that other guy (the one who isnt Florian) see one of the reasons I come back to this site is that I know, or have spoken to afew of the fighters and associates through myspace for weeks or months, I’m confident that aswell as being good fighters they are good people. What I mean by that is that my support for a guy is not based on his record, nor on his skill. There are people with near perfect records and tones of skill which I wont associate myself with, and wont support. What I look for is a guy who is humble at heart, who if and when they lose dont run around screaming, complaining or being an arse, but grow from it as people. Those people who dont act rude, or speak a lot of nasty smack (some is okay…but for example what Cub Swanson did to Jens Pulver was not okay…and we abruptly parted ways on myspace after that episode)
thats what I’ve found here with everyone ive spoken to. Trust me, places like these will flourish in time to be small thriving communities of nice and good people. I’m sick of fighters behaving badly, and I’m sick, in fact, of Fighters being viewed like meathead machines…when they are people at the end of the day who sacrifce unseen amounts off camara for our entertainment.
I’ve spoke to Amir several times on myspace, and I, of course, whatched most of TUF (though always a bloody week late coz of living in England)and I too find him mature and genuine…and I am prepared to stand up for him when he gets a bad deal on the Forum (I mean Matt-Hughes Forum, which is my online home so to speak LOL…I have 30,000 posts…I kid ye not!)
Now, I’ve spoken alot about Jesse Taylor, and no he didnt deserve his second shot. I shall explain why. There were some VERY good people on TUF that season, he was not one of them. what White said made sense, it would do him NO favours to be given a gift before he was ready…so the first reason not to give him a second chance was just that…it was ethically unsound…and he lost…and so they dump him again…thats such a bad way to deal with an employee youve already told the world doesnt make the grade. Secondly…some of those other fighters who were eliminated because of a simple mistake that cost them dearly..I dont see the UFC offering those who have worked hard a second chance…as second Chances go..HELLO MR DOLCE is WAY entitled to one before Taylor.
So in the end the Institution has damaged a fighter, the fans have been inconvienienced, and certain fantastic fighters are still sitting out in the cold because they for some reason dont deserve the attention that was given to Taylor.
WOW…THAT DUDE TYBURN GETS YOU THINKIN’ ALL CRAZY AND WHAT NOT!…
hahahaha
That’s rad that Amir is getting all this publicity and all, but when the hell are we going to see him fight again ? It seems that Matt Brown is getting all the attention from UFC, and he didn’t even make it to the semis of TUF 7.
Nevermind, hahaha. Just when I ask, UFC announces his next fight. Weird !
