On Saturday July 12th Dwayne “Diesel” Shelton won a convincing battle against Team Kurt Pellagrino fighter Kevin Roddy. Dwayne was simply too strong for Roddy as he landed heavy shots and reversed take down attempts and nearly submitted Roddy at the end of the 3rd round. It was a convincing win amongst some very controversial judging to say the least. One Judge had it scored 30-27 for Roddy which only tells us he was either not paying attention to the fight or he was leaning for the hometown favorite. This was on the heels of a VERY controversial decision against LeVon Maynard. Dwayne is now on a win streak having fought two tough opponents in 2 weeks and is eager to keep it going. Keep an eye on Dwayne as he is refocused and a very exciting fighter to watch!
I had a good fight. One of the judges must have been sitting in the cheap seats. I would like to say thanks to Combat, Critical, all teammates, trainers, and fans.
DZO!
Diesel you iz 1 bad mofo! Great fight…I am glad they didn’t rob you like they did me. I can’t wait to get out to Richmond again and work with you guys. Congrats again!
Congrats on the win in a hostile environment Diesel, keep up the good work.
Great job dude, must’ve had great corners… Lol@ “sitting in the cheap seats”…
Wooot!!!! Good job Big D!!
if I was you, i’d take a break and relax, enjoy your win streak and have some well earned time off before fighting again…I find it hard enough to keep up with a guy who fights once in four months…let alone every week hahahaha
Amir – That was good cornering.
Dave – Time off sounds great, but no rest for the weary. Combat Sports Challenge/Harley Davidson Charity Event on August 30th.
Levon – Hope you can make it up to train before the 30th.
Rob – It wasn’t that hostile. I can be surrounedd by lions in the jungle and i will still “rumble, young man rumble.”
DZO out.
Brian told me about the Harley show… I think he gonna try not to get kicked out this time lol
